Default built b16.

so i recently got a b16a1 shortblock, complete with internals for $50. getting it bored to 81.5mm. already purchased brand new eagle h-beam rods for $200!. i think im going to go with mahle pistons, comp ratio ~ 9.0. planing on turboing it down the road

questions are
should i replace the oil pump?
do i need to buy a obd0 engine harness and then an obd0-obd1 wiring harness along with a obd1 ecu?
once i get the head, would it be a good idea to put in dual valve spring for the exhaust valves?
how much power could i expect to make with a nicely paired turbo?

Umm lots of people are goign to tell you to search. Ill just answer the one i know i would for sure do.

I would replace the pump. Dont know the conditions of the old one. Or the kind of abuse it took. They are like 100 new so no big deal.

If your car doesnt already have a harness then yes get one. Get the coversion harness then an obd1 ecu.

For springs. Depends on how much power you want. Im guessing something simple. So you most likely wont need the springs.

That question is hard to answer. Best bet is search other people post and see what they are running and what kind of WHP they have. Also depends on the turbo size.
