is there a way to block off the iacv on a 98 civic dx.

my idle is jumping from 1,000 to 2,000 rpm with the p28 ecu and obd2-1 conv harness. because off the 3 wire and 2 wire mixup

lol no you cant block it, the only thing that i know that you can go without is FITV (thermo valve) but you car doesnt have one

My swap had the same idle problems after I did it. Took me days to figure out what's going on. But I'd suggest making sure there's not cel codes and then reset the ecu. After I did that the engine ran as perfect as when we took it out of the donor car. I still consider myself new to swaps, but can somebody conferm that a p28 would or wouldn't work in his situation? Also blocking off your iacv? are you mad?!? jk

Is there any way that you can use the 3-wire or do you have to switch to a 2-wire to run OBD1 ECU?

i am pretty sure that there is no way for a p28 to recognize a 3 wire iacv......so your probably going to have to switch to a 2 wire iacv......
