what is the actual weight of a typical 94 up integra flywheel?
please some one help me out. I'd like to know what it weighs. I don't have on and don't know what the weight is and I'm trying to figure out how many pound flywheel I should go with.

correct.
go with a 10lb flywheel, it does the job great and not too light compared to a 7/8lb
but it depends on how fast you'd like to rev aswell

9lbs flywheel works great also. Is replacing the flywheel all you plan on doing or will you be doing other stuff to the car to make it faster?

it's has the revs drop quicker and some people don't personally like that. a 10lb flywheel is a great improvement over a 18lb flywheel. I would personally rock a 7lb flywheel but 10lb is doing it great for me currently
it's personal preference

well here's the deal, heavy flywheel help with acceleration going up hill because of it's mass. I just want to know how heavy the stock one is so I know how heavy of a flywheel I wan to use for my build. thanks for the input. my purpose is not at the track so I'm going with 12 pound. I'm strickly a street V8 killer, sick and tire of them dissing 4 banger.
here is my build, feel free to give input.

ok im gonna ask a newb question here, sorry for it being in your post but what exactly does the flywheel do? im pretty sure i know but i just wanna make sure im right.
If I understand your question correctly, the flywheel is bolt right on to your crankshaft in the center if it. On the outside edge of it. it has some gear teeth where your starter engages on to crank the engine whe you're cranking in the start position. It's also where your clutch grips onto when you're in gear and the clutch pedal is released. how does it engage? the pressure plate applies machenical force from the tranny. so it serves two purposes, allows you to start you engine and allows power flow from the engine to the transmission to the wheels. rotating mass is also a big thing too depends on type of road course.
