Driver's window slips out of track because there is too much play in the window
My driver's side window always "leans" forward and slows way down, usually stopping because there is too much friction. If I don't hold the top of the glass and push it back (to avoid the leaning) while it's rolling up there is about a 0.5 inch gap that I can fit my finger in.
When the window is halfway rolled up I can move it forwards and back almost an inch but there are no loose bolts and the regulator is new. Why is there is much play?
I've heard I need to replace the runners. What parts would I need?

are you sure that both of the bolts on the regulator are tight? I doubt you'd be able to move it that much if they were. maybe try unbolting it, rolling it all the way up so it's closed correctly, and then re-tightening the bolts.
have you tried adjusting the bottoms of the run channel towards the glass? Tighten it up so to speak.
Be sure to lay the silicone lube into the run channel
