i have a 89 civic converted to obd1 and mpfi it has a D16Z6 and my question is this. evertyime i drive it, it drives fine no problems but when i come to a stop my rpms start to fluctuate (spelling) but only for about a min. wat could be causing this. ive already ruled out that it might be the IACV, so im searing the junkyards for another one. thanks

 

Have you tested the iacv? Also did you have the throttle body unbolted from the head? I had a surging problem and it turned out to be the throttle body gasket. Check your gaskets, vacuum lines, connection, basically do a thourough visual inspection

but i never thought about the TB gasket... hmm

 

mine does this sometimes.. i think it just runs a lil rich. injectors pulse weird
