I bought this 90 ef off my brother in laws friend, reason i had to let go my ep3, well this guy bought the car in good condition but ended up with a bunch of dents and a head gasket blown. To make the story short i want to know if it will look alright if i painted the interior black because its brown, and if so i want to know whos done it and did it come out alright.I just want to do it until i swap it out for an si model.

Ok, I was initially just going to go into this thread and be an *******, but you look like you could use some help.

First of all, the interior of your car can be painted black, and cosmetically, it wouldn't be that big of a deal, because the rest of the car is so freakishly ugly.

You need to give up on making your car look good, and just save your money for something nicer to come along. It always does. You can however do a few things to at least make it presentable...

Number one, you're never going to have a pretty car with that shell, which means you need to consider going the other route, and just making it fast. Gut the interior, convert that car to MPFI NOW because you are making NO power. I assume that you did the conversion to VTEC correctly, but I can't be certain. You need to get an arm onto that intake, because you are losing power at a huge rate... you're only sucking in the warm air coming off of the engine. Paint the car a flat color, because, like I said, it's ugly right now.

Don't swap Si model interior parts, just get an Si... save your dollars and pennies, and don't sink any money into this thing, and for goodness sakes, just go to the EF forum. They'll get you straightened out.

 

Dam bro if i was going to get pissed on i wouldnt have post anything how do you know the body isnt good, just because you dont see a headlight is because theres no intake tube on. this how i got the car now keep in mind i only got for 500 dlls. I would of understand if was 2300 but no. The car is good and its going to have mpfi swap, And also its not like i woke up one day went of and bought myself a civic and try to make it "pertty" and i not new to this trend. If i wanted something i would bought myself 07 si but i like making thing from nothing.

 

if you want to paint the interior use SEM brand interior paint . satin finish comes out looking the best and it is very durable

I'm helping you. I really am. You are asking about how to make a car look good in the A/C forum. I've owned several EFs. I had a JDM CRX, a 1990 Civic Si with a turbo B16, and several other heaps that I got rid of.

You need to realize that your car is a money pit. Just save your dough. I'm looking at that car, and it's ALWAYS more cost effective to just buy the Si model. Like I'm saying, I've been there. Your car is either a DX, or a Standard, and neither one of those cars is worth modifying on a budget.

Go to the EF forum, and ask their opinion. Please, don't ask A/C's opinion, because they're mostly morons. Go to the EF forum, and ask around. You're already doing several things wrong on this car, and I'm really just trying to stop you before you screw it up more.

Ok now i uderstand where you going with this your saying i dont have the money to make this work everything, now i'm not going to come down to your level argue about this, thanx for the helpbut think i know what to do , i know the motor setup aint good enough, Like i said i not stpid i know whats good to invest and whats not.

Now body and paint is not the same price as where you live, especially when you know people and on engine build i perty much have it covered because i work at my dads machine shop.
