Competition Clutch Stage 5 or Ironman - input needed
I am trying to figure out which stage to go with on my H22 turbo setup. I am in the market for the Competition clutch stage 5 or Ironman clutch.
I am curious as to how the pedal pressure is on the Competition Stage 5 or ironman clutches were.
This is my street/daily driver so I would like a PP that isn't godly heavy. Car is expected to make 450whp & 350'ish lbs/tq.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. I would like to stick with the comp clutch as I can get killer deals on them.

, Also wondering how "streetable" these clutches are.

I just orderd one yesterday and it will be in next week. I spoke with a couple people that have had them in their car's and they said as long as you get the sprung version they are pretty streetable.
I hope it mates well with a 8lb flywheel as a DD.

Which one did you order, the stage 5 or the ironman?
Right now, 2 distributors are giving me 2 different answers. One is saying that the stage 5 is more streetable then the ironman ( I was also under the same impression) and one is telling me the ironman is more streetable then the stage 5 (wouldn't the iron pads be more grippy/harsh?).
Just to keep in mind, there is also a price difference between the stage 5 and the ironman as well.

Naw i went with the normal stage 5 sprung kit. I am not really aiming to go over 400whp so it should be more than enough for my goals while keeping it streetable

These clutches chatter like hell, at least the sprung ones do, I have one in my turbo hatch, I have to rev to 3k in order for the clutch not to shake the shiat out of the car... solid mounts only exacerbate the problem.
You maybe a little confused??
The stage 5 is a four puck while the iron man is a 6 puck...Now the stage 4 is about the equivilent to the ironman.
I just purchased the stage 4 after talking to competiton, they told me the stage 4 and ironman hold about the same power but the ironman is more streetable, because of its iron/carbon disc but an extra $100. While the stage 4 is solid ceramic which doesn't like to slip much.

This is definitely the correct answer
All Comp Clutches have the SAME pressure plate for stages 2-6 with the option to upgrade to a MUCH harsher, but solid pressure plate. You can get sprung or unsprung disc's as well in the Stage 4 and Stage 5 as well.
The pedal feel is great on the stage 6 I just installed on my car, even in my old school cable tranny
