I am purchasing a JDM ITR Front End Conversion and was wondering if I should get a new or used one?

I have a gentlemen offering a Used Kit off a 1999 ITR Championship White. All Sheet metal and in good condition for $2600.00. The gentlemen said it was HID also. He also stated that it was the complete kit including Lip.

Does this sound like a good deal or to good to be true >you think the items might be damaged?

What should I ask him it includes so I know I am getting everything?
What should I ask him about the HID? I heard these are costly, no?

Warrenty from Honda? ? What does it cover?

 

I thought about getting used to save money, but I was worried about having some part missing. Since nobody sells that kit seprately, it will be hard to find the part.

If he has HID lights, ask if its the oem HID lights or aftermarket. The HID headlamps are different than non-HID. There is a circle where the light shines, I think it is so you dont blind oncoming traffic.

Definately see if you can get photos to see the condition of the bumper/fenders.

 

I've been selling USED JDM front-end for quite some time now. Never had one that's in BADLY shape ('cept one which shipping company messed it up on the way to customer). It comes COMPLETE except the hood cable. Which you can get it @ any acura dealer (90~93 integra). I even include the front lower lip, H emblem and 2 sidemarkers. All for $2100 plus shipping...it's no where NEAR $3000 like you guys talk about. $3000 is the price I sell for the HID version (yes..the OEM hid)

You people need to do some search before you jump on conclusion thinking JDM front-end is costly. It's not.

To mugenDC2racer, Good call on the HID. I am going to ask him and he is also emailing me pictures. If Jeff can get me one sooner or a reasonable time i'll buy from him otherwise I'll have to get it from this other guy.

Hmmm...if you're in the rush. I would suggest to go elsewhere. I get about 2 a month..and the 2 that's coming are SOLD already. I have 1 available in late june (the other one is already sold to another H-T member). Let me know if you wanna wait till late june and i can def. hook you up w/ one
