its in a 89 crx si

-engine turns over
-no fuel pressure
-no voltage to the fuel pump
-main relay is new and passes main relay test
-check engine light comes on and stays on
-led light on ecu stays on (not sure what it means)
-fuses are all okay i do believe i forgot to check one, but it has something to do with the rear lights? honda book isnt in front of me and i dont remember


any thoughts would be pretty great. thanks ahead of time

 

if relay is ok. ecu is a dud.

havnt checked the ecu yet im workin on getting a friend to let me put it on his car to see if it works. any other ideas till then?

 

run the pump to a switch thats what i did. i had thesame problem as u and just got sick and tired and ran the pump to a switch i have not had a problem.

 

im selling it to my brother and i wanna fix it right before he gets it. im very suspicious of the ecu, it worked in the car it used to be in, then was taken out and sat for a while before i got my hands on it. so is there a way to sorta reset it so it works again, or what do i do?

 

if ur getting a check engine light the ecu is working.

 

alright ill try the switch install. what gauge wire are you using 16?18? and where are you pulling power from? thanks

 

im pulling the power from my iginte switch so when i turn the key my pump turns on and im using 18 guage wire.

 

okay so fuel pump is wired up through the radio power supply and works great. check engine light is flashing extremely fast and distributer makes clicking noise with checkengine light. anyone have anythoughts?

 

okay so i have fuel pressure now and to the best of my knowledge the ecu is turning on. as soon as i can get some new injectors (turns out i have fuel leaks oops) im going to drain out all old gas, but new fresh gas in and new spark plugs and hopefully that does the trick.
