the only possible way is to probably buy it from private owner in the classified. You WONT find it anywhere for that price from a dealership!!

It's all about condition, and mileage.

One with 115K miles, in good condition (maybe not perfect, but pretty good), and a clean title, might sell for $11-13K.

$16K should get you one with half as many miles, and probably in better condition, too.

Bought my 01 type R off my sister for 9,000. Burned oil and ran 14.5 at the track. We recently took it apart to see scored cylinder walls and 2 mishaped exhaust vlaves. Clean title . it has 117K miles and well worth the money I think. She paid 16K back when it had around 90K.

I'm also looking for a Type-r but MINIMUM pricing at $11k w/ tax. I'm looking to spend 12.5k, but I specifically want a 98 spec' so that will help with finding a less expensive itr. There is actually quite a few itr's around the mid atlantic. I have one I'm serious about right now.

But seriously way too many ITR owners ask way too much, while they do have great re-sale values, some people are just ridiculous. I just send them emails, letting them know I'll be interested when they lower the price, because they won't sell them at that price. Finding clean titles isn't too hard, you'd figure the bad ones are already stripped

You do know they only made 3850 of them and they are a limited production numbered car? It automatically increases the value.

Hence the reason for sites like KBB to not value or take so long to put a value on them.

$24000 for a ITR with less then 10k miles IMHO is very worth it.

Yes SIRRRR ! I'd buy it in a heart beat if I didn't already own one.

Best FWD in the world with 10k miles, now questions asked

These cars go for what someone is willing to pay for them.

Those who think they are overpriced... just walk away. No love lost. But if your looking for a mint ITR, be prepared to pay a premium. They are only getting rarer and rarer.

I was going to possibly purchase a 98' spec in jersey when the guy told me some guy was flying up and was going to test drive and buy it. 11.5k 110k miles clean title If I were to buy a car with that many miles I'd have a compression test done before going up there to buy it, do people not care? or are they just stupid?

Anyways I found a few more, with $13k you can buy a nice itr, you just have to jump on it quick!!
