How much do wrecked itr usually sell for?
There are so many variables.
I bought a totalled one for 6k and parted it out.
DaveB bought one for a decent price(under10k) and made it into a race car.

LOL way under 10k actually, though I don't think anyone will come across a deal as sweet as that again.

i just don't understand why don't guys just get non-type r integras that are running fine... and just swap in type r OEM parts or whatever that they want and sell the OEM stuff they don't... is it just the whole "itr" thing that surrounds the car... like having one of a limited number that were made? cause almost whatever comes on type r's like bars, specific panels and seats, etc. that non-type r's don't have you can get your hands on (legitimately). plus, your insurance could be lower (but then again, your insurance company may or may not insure the stuff you add on)
Lately it seems like some wrecked or salvage title itr's are being turned into race cars. At least for those guys, it's often important that chassis codes and vin's match up in order for a car to be classed legally.

Good point, and very true. You can't run an ITR in H3/H4

NP, I just read that today as well, you can move a GS-R up if you so chose to but not and ITR down in class due to structural advantages. Though if you read through that thread it can be argued as well. Chris F does a pretty good job pointing out that a cage more than makes up for that.

Main reason being is that the ITR has a more rigid chassis.
