front end shaking after da knuckle swap
i just put da knuckles on my crx now when i drive it it shakes if i go any faster then 15mph. tie rod ends are good just replaced uper control arms and lower ball joints are good. when the car is on jack stands there is no play in the wheels at all. could it be i just need an alignment?

bad wheel bearings possibly?</TD></TR></TABLE>
maybe, my bro just did his wheel bearing (70 bucks EF) and his car does not shake at all anymore. before shook like hell.. even drives straight without holding onto the s. wheel now.

How bad is the shake? Like a low-frequency wobble (bad tires) or a high-frequency vibration? If it shakes fast, you'd better check every single bolt in the front. Subframe, shocks, steering rack, calipers, everything.
If you replaced any part of your suspension you need an alignment.
Funny how everyone on this site will tell you to get your car re-dyno tuned if you change the slightest thing, but they think suspension pieces can be swapped around without an alignment.

good analogy. but i think something more direct would be like changing cams and not adjusting the valves. but then it only costs $5 for a feeler gauge.

do what the one guy said.. get an alignment. trust me.. i changed my upper control arm and thought i didnt need one but i really did. i will always get one after replacing any suspension piece..
well when i first swaped knuckles it shook crazy bad but i had a bad steering rack and tie rods no i replaced them and it shakes less but still shakes. im getting an alignment today. i got the knuckles from picknpull and i went through 2 sets cause the shaking i thought it was the wheel bearings too but i doubt both sets would be bad.
