When i shift into 3rd it sratches, only way i can make it not scratch is to shift SUPER SLOW, even just daily driving ill shift and it will scratch going into 3rd. So now my question is, whats causing this, how do i fix it, what do i need to replace, is it gunna put a big dent in my pocket?

 

sounds like your syncros are out.

you can either tear apart the tranny to replace it, or replace the tranny itself.
you have a d-series or b-series?

 

I have d series, d16z6 vtec, what do you mean tear apart the tranny? and if i do that what needs to be replaced? or change the whole transmission? isnt this all pretty expensive?

take tranny out of car, open tranny up, fix it, put back together, put back in the car...prob gonna cost you alot...i say you buy my s20 dseries tranny for cheap..

 

Ok i know he meant to take it out, take it apart and make the fix. I wana know what i need to fix. what needs to be replaced.

what do u want for the tranny anyways? Do i need to make any adjustments or changes to anything else if i use ur s20 tranny? i dont need to change the ecu or anything right.

im not looking for a project, im looking to fix the problems with my car and get the hell rid of it ASAP

well, you should get a Helms manual...read on how to take it apart and change those syncros....and no...the s20 tranny will bolt to your car just fine...80 for the tranny plus shippin will do...

 

where do i get the synchro's and how much do they usualy cost.

how many miles are on ur tranny. Is it going to perform better than the one i already have? cmon man, u are trying to sell something, well its never gunna sell the way you approach possible buyers. Be a salesman dude, make them want it, deatails details details.
