Need A bit of help identifying a kind of wheel lock...
My brother's gf was involved in a small incident this morning on her way to school so i went out and rescued her... I got her car home after fighting the steering wheel the entire time
Her wheel is flat but i dont see any real bends, i went to take it off to check closer and put on one of my 15" steelies and i see she's got this wheel lock on it BUT when she bought the car the guy didn't have the key for it. So now I am completely clueless as to what it is...

what I had to drive home in the snow with

the offending wheel lock
*and don't give me the blah blah "use oem lugs on oem wheels" crap cause I already know...

Hmm so, can I borrow your key?

so I'm assuming that is what it is.. since it says for OEM honda wheel

The lugs look like mcgaurd but the actual lock itself I have never seen a design like that. I do notice that there seem to be 4 indentations near the stud in the center of that thing.

yea,
Isn't there something I can get that will just break it and I can just get her some new lugs?

The only thing I can think of is take a dremel and cut a notch in each side of the lug and get a bar and try to "unscrew" it. There has to be an easer way.
Also that link you posted isnt what you have.
if you look at the upper right corner you see a * thing. thats waht the design of the lock looks like.
This looks closer but its made for OEM Hyundai...

They make sockets you hammer on and can take them off.
Like so: http://www.toolgopher.com/inde...14915
They work great, I have a set, but snap-on

Do you have an impact and compressor with plenty of air? and a decent supply of impact sockets? If so there IS a way to get it off. They make a lug remover as well that just destroys it but its about 20-40 bucks.

yes sir I do
yes sir I do
I work at a shop and when we have this problem and the owner gives us their consent... we find a socket that would fit over the lug but require some hammering to get it on. Sometimes this will require a 12pt chrome socket though. Once you hammer the thing on just go to town with the impact. It will slip and slip but eventually get hot enough and grab the thing and zip it off. I have done this MANY times. I wouldnt suggest using your best sockets though haha. If you run out of options... thats what I would do

haha yeah I understand that. My idea is crude for sure... but it gets the job done when you are in a jam. Good luck finding a solution
my friend's key for his mcguard locks broke, so he ordered another one and it came in the day before he went to the states to get his new tires put on. well he broke that key too (the inside of it just totaly broke apart). so i went over to his place, and got a socket, heat it up alot with a torch, put an extension on it so i don't burn my hand off, and then hit it on with a 10lbs sledge, once it was on, i let it cool, and then it cranked right off.
and no i don't steal wheels
and no i don't steal wheels
Honda/Hyundai released a wheel lock like that not too long ago...might wanna look into going to the dealership.
I used a set about a year ago.
