im quite sure that its just plug and play, u can also use a SE cluster, it has a tach too and will hook up without any problems if u cant find an si

be aware..if you find an 88-89 cluster it will plug in no problem..it can be out of a crx or a civic, no wiring changes at all. plug and play!

if you grab a 90-91 the wiring is different and you'll have to repin the connectors.

I want to warn you, though... I did the same thing, and it wasn't quite plug-n-play...

After installation, I noticed that the door light was coming on whenever the doors were SHUT. Well, now, isn't that interesting. So I took it out, and traced the circuitry on the cluster and compared it to my old one. Oh, well, guess what I found?! A diode that was on my old dx cluster was not on the si cluster! Well, I just cut that thing right out of the old cluster and soldered it onto the back of the new one and it worked perfectly. Makes perfect sense when you think about it, but I wonder why the whole thing is reversed from my car to an SI? Oh well, nothin to worry about, I guess.

I would still do it, BTW, this is just a friendly warning.

i think the HF might have a slightly different pin setup as well. oh well..if you end up getting a cluster and need to repin, it's not that hard..you can use the circuit diagram on the back of the cluster to find out what does what, or post up on here and people have decent diagrams.
