2 Way Pager Alarm
i dont like my compustar, because remote keep fuking up. this is my 2nd one, and i took really good care of it, but it gets fuked up over time some reason. i'd get viper. [ if viper remote has mute mode, instead of beeping]
I have the model compustar that's rated as the best alarm in that biggggg alarm thread.
The way it messes up, is that the battery connection points screw up somehow and the alarm remote wont unlock the doors, or do anything else. sometimes if I press down on the backside of the battery door, and then press the unlock button, it works perfect. Other times I have to take out the battery and put it back in, then it will unlock.
Another problem mine has, is it will randomly go off. Which almost makes the whole alarm pointless because it breaks down the trust I have for it.
If it goes off when my garage door is closed, sensitivity turned wayy up so it hardly wont ever go off, and nobody near it, there is definitely a problem.
Although my alarm has a few problems, I plan to get it worked out. I had a viper and the brain totally went whack. Going off randomly(all the time), wouldnt stop going off when i pressed the remote, and a few other smaller things, I still would prefer my compustar, even though it has a few stupid smaller problems. I'm sure Compustar will, or already has come out with a better working remote, even though theyre expensive as expletive.

The viper remote as a vibrate feature if you don't want that annoying beeping sound

I have the viper 791vx.... haven't had any problems as well. Only downside is that the siren sounds like everyone elses viper alarm out there!
just bought a Viper and it's getting installed right now.
