Default $$$$ Best bang for buck with least problems for 94 GSR! Plese HELP!!!$$$$

I have a 95 special edition, and i put a 94 gsr motor in it. I finally got everything running the way its suposed to and put the usual on it. ( intake, exhaust,) the norm. And basically i cant make up my mind on what to do. I want the most power i can get for the cheapest price. ( NO NITROGEN) lol. i could get some stage one cams from this guy for 250 which is good but im not sure whats better stage one cams or type R. and from what im hearing neigther one mite not be worth it. Prostreetonline.com makes a turbo kit that is as simple as it gets that is desighned to bolt up and run with your car safetly with 6 psi for $1400, but thats a lil high for me. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME IDEAS ON WHAT IS THE BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK IN MY CAR!!!!!!! Anything yall can think that is the most power for best price..... these are just my ideas....

Well what do you want/expect? Obviously going turbo would make better numbers easier/cheaper. With going all motor you will have to upgrade a lot of internal parts which would probably add up to more than just getting a turbo. And what "stage one" cams are you talking about?

There's not such thing as cheap horse power. Nos is cheap to get..but then refills will end up costing alot more then a turbo if you use it enough.

Stage 1 what? Skunk 2's, buddy club?

They'll make power, but you can't touch OEM Honda part reliability. I went w/ITR cams for my GSR simply because I didn't want to worry about a lobe breaking and whatnot.

Personally, if I had the money to buy a good set of cams, I would'nt look twice at buddy club or skunk2. How long have they been around? Relatively new companies compared to something like Crane Cams or Crower, who've been making cams for DECADES. Or something high end like JUN or even Mugen. Not some stage 1 buddy cams or whatever (though again, they do make power, but for how long?)

And if you upgrade the cams, you need to think about yoru valvetrain. W/stock ITR cams, you can keep your GSR valve springs unless you want to rev higher, then you need ITR intake and just swap the GSR intake to the exhaust side.

Then, since you've got cams that breathe better, you need to get the air in, so you've got to look at the IM which means you need a single plenum style IM.. In that case go w/a skunk2 or AEBS (an IM cracking isnt gonna screw your engine). Also need to invest in an intake of some kind, sinc ethe stock intake will no longer be useful to you.

THEN, you've got an engine that can suck air in well, but can't exhale.. So you need a good exhaust to compliment the higher powerband your engine is gonna have, which means you need a 4-1 header or some kind (DC Sports/ITR if your being frugal) and also a decent free flowing exhaust.

And with all of that, you tuning because your stock ECU can't adjust itself to all the changes you made. So dyno time/ECU chipping is in the order unless you go w/Hondata and even then you still need dyno time.

The point of this rediculously long post is that you can't just slap one thing in there and expect it to work w/out looking at the complete engine and at the complete package. You have to get parts that will compliment each other.

Or you could just go w/nitrous and be done w/it. Cheap and simple power
