Default Need help on e-brake adjutment.

Well, my e-brake has always been strong but this morning I try to use it and now there is ALOT of slack before it starts clicking and braking. And when it finally does brake it feels like onlhy one tire is stopped. Please keep in notice the temperature here in RI was -10 so that could have caused a problem. Please let me know what I can do to fix this problem. BTW I have a 93 Civic CX with rear disk conversion.

try to adjust/tighten the nut on the ebrake by removing the center console that covers the e-brake handle...once you take it off, you'll see theres 2 cables and a nut in the middle...tighten that up..

Yea, I took the center console and seen the 2 cables but didn't think of tighting them. Should that solve the problem? BTW one cable was alot lower than the other one(wich looked normal).

just try it out..my ebreak was really loose and i would have to pull it really high in order to grab, even then, it'll grab pretty weak...so i tighten it up and now it works really good...grabs nice and dont have to pull it high to the point where it hits my armrest..

what do you mean lower... like more towards the back of the car? and yes that should solve the problem if nothing is broken.

So tighten/adjust all 3 nuts so were the metal piece is leveled?

hum...well, on mine, the ebrake handle was holding a metal piece that had the 2 brake wires to it...and in the middle of both wires there was a nut...tighten that one...as you tighten it, you see the metal piece pulling on the wires making them tighter...
