Default Opinions on Russell SS Brake Lines for ITR

Anyone using Russell SS Brake Lines on their ITR?

I'm just finishing up my brake set up: Spoon clappers with Cobalt Friction GT-Sport Pads (Ordered from Glen at Cobalt today) Motul RBF600, and Brembo Blanks. Now I just need lines.

Any suggestions other than Goodridge, i want something that has a housing to protect the SS mesh.

Thanks

I believe Neuspeed and Stoptech sell brake lines with the rubber/teflon coating over the mesh. Spoon and Mugen also offer lines. For that money they BETTER come with a coating of some sort

I've had Goodrich lines on my car for years and couldn't be happier with them.

I had Googrich for many years with no problems but I decided to switch out to the Techna Fit lines which have the external coating to protect them. You can get them through King MSPS: http://www.kingmotorsports.com...at=80. They also make an SS braided clutch line to replace the rubber portion.

I am surprised you aren't rockin' the Mugens. What is the lifespan of the Techna-Fits?

IIRC the teflon is not "over" or a "coating" but the inner liner under the stainless steel braiding itself.

I have the Goodridge myself and have had good luck with them for the last 3 seasons after close inspections, but am planning to replace them with Stoptech since the Goodridge are NOT coated SS lines and the Stoptech ARE coated SS lines, which are more peace of mind for me who doesn't care to swap them out every season nor do I want to have to consider it that often at all.

Interesting. I always though it was overtop of the ss material. I have some no name lines that did not have any coating overtop. Not sure if they are actually coated at all. Because of that factor I had considered upgrading to the Stoptechs

anton is correct

the "under" part is teflon, the "over" part is plastic

some use both, some use none

Technafit gets from me. I had them for 6 months and 1 of the line happened to start leaking and Stuart @ Technafit UPS next day me a replacement line for free.
