i cannot find the knock sensor on the new engine,


1st gen b16a going into a crx si 91

cant find the knock sensor anyone know where it is?

look on the back of the motor, in the center..can't remember if it's on the head or the block, but it's there..it's a round plug if i remember right.

yeah, compare your old wiring harness to the new engine and the plug that doesnt have a counterpart on the backside (by the oil filter) should be your knock sensor.

 

it's right under the intake man like.. a lil above the altenator slightly to the right

 

now that i think about it, it's definately on the block. found it yet?

okay i found it turned out that i had the wrong thing plugged into that part,
now i have only 1 extra plug on the entire harness, its like for 2 pins, and i have no fricken idea where it goes, im gonna go take a picture in a few.

 

i had one extra plug as well..you're using the si harness, right? and the plug is floating around near the bottom of the intake manifold, right? i think yer golden dude.

What harness are you using? The stock harness or the hasport conversion. I'm in the process of doing my b20vtec in my dx and im using the stock dx harness with the addition of the extra wiring.

get rid of that fram oil filter. they really suck...get a stock honda one or a bosch or something.

Stock honda is the way to go.
