I did a search on here and on Accordinglydone.com (which right now seems to be down) and I can not find out how to tell if you have the Akebono calipers or Nissin Calipers. I work at a parts store and it would help me to be able to tell people in that aspect as well. TIA.

My calipers have Nissin written right on them. I'll see if I can get a picture for you tonight while I'm searching down there for my mystery noise.

 

Cool, thanks. But does anyone know a surefire way of telling what car has which calipers? Working at a parts store this is a common thing with the early 90's Honda's.

 

call napa or advance autos or somewhere...give them i think its the first 4 or so digits of ur vin number and they can tell you..thats what i did anyways..saved me some trouble of having to look everywhere

 

See thats the thing, I work at Advance Auto and when you look up brakes for the thing under the selections it says, "With Akebono Calipers" or "With Nissin Calipers".

 

my advice is call Napa if you have one..give them the part of the vin number they need and they can tell you for sure thats what i did! good luck
