fuel pressure regulator
i just bought my first honda a week ago and i am looking to build it. i have come across a megan racing fuel pressure regulator, and i am wondering if it will help me at all. i have a 90 ls teg. it's bone stock except for an intake and plugs/wires.
Unless you can adjust it it will provide you nothing. An adjustable fuel pressure regulator is required when tuning.
If your planning on running a Zex nitrous system with fuel pressure management then get a ultra high flow one that system will manage that.
GL with the build

save your money. An FPR won't do anything really to benefit you at all at this moment. Save up and get some valvesprings+retainers and get crower 403 cam's to make some hp improvements

On a stock motor an adjustable fuel pressure regulator will not help at all. Honda sized the injectors and picked the fuel pressure correctly for a stock motor.
As the motor improves from stock, the airflow capability is improved. This is where adjusting the fuel pressure allows the fuel flow capability to be improved accordingly.
As mentioned by Dealer Leaf, it is required when tuning.
