Default CL Type S

Any owners on the board?

I'm looking at the 2003 CL Type S. I was wondering if the car has any potential as in do bolt-ons do anything to this car or is it already at it's limits?

I have a 2002 RSX Type S right now with I/H/E I just want to make sure it's an upgrade (in terms of speed)

I was looking for a Type R before, and that came to a quick end, I can't find one clean one.

Thanks in advance everyone

Edit: What kind of parts are available for the suspension, brakes, intake, headers, exhaust.

And what's the offset for the wheels? Thanks again

according to comptech's CL S dyno you get 32whp from their headers. Ther headers should give similar results. An exhaust is a waste of $$ on that car as you only get 1 or 2whp at the most. an Icebox will get you about 5.4% increase in hp.

No matter what you do to the car fuel cutoff is 147mph and the car can reach it in 4th and 5th gears.

I have headers on an auto and I have little problem dealing with the smaller acuras.....

a 200hp RSX versus 260 CL type S

2767/200=13.8HP/lb

3515/260=13.52HP/lb so it's pretty even

My RSX-S has 229HP though...

Any ways I got my questions answered on an Acura CL site.

I'll think about it a bit more, see what happens.

Thanks for the info though

i have a 03 6 speed and it is a great car and it is very powerful. It was a good buy and definately worth the money. There is not much aftermarket support but there are also universal things such as nitrous that can bring power up.

im thinking of getting an 03 CL-S 6 speed.
its either that or a s2k. they both run about the same amount of $$$ right now.
i just know to stay away from the "automatic" CL's.
the headers you speak of..... arent those the ones that run like 900 bucks????

Comptech are 1200 if you can still get them

DC sports are $350 or so. Same gains..........
