Default reverse lights always on?

Ok so I have a 95 ex accord and i have this problem, while the bulbs are in the socket
the reverse lights are always on.

I tried disconecting my reverse light switch, which turns them of, but then doesn't work
when I put it in reverse. Obviously.

I'm using the 1156 bulb. I looked around (didnt strip the car or any thing) but I didnt
find any of the wires being tampered with.

So I have no idea.

Well if the lights don't work at all with the switch disconnected that would lead me to believe the switch has shorted to ground.

theres only one way to put the bulbs in its the "right way" lol
but seriesly, unless you jam it and brake something, it only goes in one way.

But when the bulb is in the socket no matter if my lights are on, its in first or reverse
it stays on and doesn't do anything.

So how could I have a short in my switch, should I just remove it and install a new one.
Ive never heard of a reverse switch going bad.

sure sounds like wiring problem or a short in the relay switch that kicks on the reverse lights on when you put your shifter into reverse. there should be no power heading to the reverse lights unless the transmission is set in reverse.
