Why didn't they have that when I was in school??
It really is a good deal, just like how some people instruct in exchange for free track time.

I wish they would offer that kind of thing here!!! I'd be all over it, even close out of state.

Last year at Putnam, my car broke down the very first thing on Saturday morning. Instead of going home and wasted the whole trip, I worked the grid.

Got a free day at Autobahn several weeks later.

Do they (track officials) train/allow track noobs to help out and volunteer?

I don't know anyone personally. I do know a few guys local to me who run SCCA though.

My DC2 is going to be racing in H1 with a K in florida-land... Miami IIRC. Matt Lang owns it now. He said he might make it out to Mid-O in April, not sure if he was kidding or not. mlrmotorsports is is sign-in name here, if I recall correctly.

Oh yes, noobs are welcome. They will put you with someone who has done it before.

Which HC would you FL guys be running? SEHC or ECHC?
Seems like a long tow regardless of where you go.

Honestly, I didn't even know there were different breakdowns. The reason for asking was I would like to meet a few local HC people to see what its like and if there are a few people who compete in this division I was contemplating building the ITR as a dedicated track car.

I guess I got some more research to do.
