Fuse FI E/M problems & potential solutions...
So I'm driving down the road, and my vehicle quits... I've just recently had a B18C5 swap done and it has been gold!
Anyways, I get it home and run all the checks when it won't start:
the fuel pump primes, and then I check for spark - NO SPARK!
so I change the cap and rotor and the car fires up first try!
I go to drive it, and it quits again...
So I check the fuses, and the FI E/M fuse (15amp) is shot... I replace it, give it a try, won't start...
check the fuse and its blown again... replace it; blows again... so I establish there is a short, (real clever!).
I read the fuse maps, and the main relay shows that it could be any number of things... I check the fuel injectors (knowing that's not it, but just in case...) - I check the O2 sensor and the map sensor for the intake manifold... but everything checks out... so I unplug the map sensor, and give the car a start... IT STARTS, but runs like ****... I plug in the sensor, let it get up to temp, and it drives great...
But here's the thing... I didn't do anything to fix it. I didn't find the (or a) short and now I can't get the car to duplicate the problem. I can't help but think its going to happen again...
Any help here would be great...
thanks

Sup Dude, I have the exact sam problem with my 99' gsr. My FI E/M fuse is blow'n up constantly some days car runs find and the next car will shut off out of the blues.
I tried to find some solutions on ht but no one really is of help. So I was wondering if you had by any chance get to the source of this problem?...
