Help!! 96 gsr stalled on first, check light on but not throwing any code?

Help!! 96 gsr stalled on first, check light on but not throwing any code?
green light then first gear it stalled. did a pin check of the 2 pin plug and check light remains on and is not blinking. help?? any ideas. i need to get this fix asap. thank you
