Default 6th Gen Automatic slipping

I've searched every single thread on this. Everyone within the 109k mile had their tranny fixed by honda. My car is at 121k and on its 2nd tranny that I put in myself. I probably bought a defected unit in the first place or i'm doing something wrong. The first one went out when it started to make some strange metal grinding noises while driving (busted clutch pack or bearings?).

The problem: The tranny would slip out of (and hard time shifting) 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, and sometimes 3rd to 4th. It only does it when the oil is cold (first morning drive). After about 1/2 to 1 mile drive, the tranny would act perfectly norma (Shifts smoothly and everything). It now has a CEL code of P0780. Last week, it had a code of P0750; but doesn't show up anymore. I could clear the code after the oil is warmed up. it wouldn't throw the code, until the next morning. when it does throw a code; the car would be stuck in 2nd gear and the D4 blinks. I would turn off the car and start it again; and the car would drive fine.

I've done a drain & fill (honda atf) 4 times so far and cleaned the linear shift solenoid.

Could this be a problem with the tranny itself? Some type of solenoid? Oil? Torque converter? Is there a special way to bleed the torque converter?

I'll be contacting gearspeed in rancho for better answers in a few days. Going to see AAMCO for a free external diagnose

I found a link to test certin solenoid for D series. Anyone have a link for F series automatic tranny?

Thanks.

Buy a gearspeed trans and be done with it. Those Accord trans are problematic anyway and finding a junkyd or used trans is only wasting your time. Ive installed an H&A reman'd trans in an 01 civic and an 04 Odyssey. Both were excellent remans and havent had problems since.

BTW its unlikely that anything you did caused the trans to fail. Just for fun, give your dealership a call and see if they can do anything for you. Ive seen Honda cover replacing a trans that was out of the warranty extension. Ive replaced plenty of Accord trans so if you have questions PM me. hth

car has a salvaged title, honda wont do jack

my best bet is to either get all sensors tested or replace it with a remanafactured tranny.
