tranny being tempermental. need help.
so here's the story. 1996 civic EX automatic. my friend was his car on the first cold day of fall. the check engine came on and moments after the car acted like it was in neutral. he shut the car off and restarted it and it worked for a little while and kept happening. he leap frogged it to try and get home and it finally would get in gear. he checked the Ohms on his lock up solenoid and they were off the chart. bought a new one and flushed the system. car worked for a while and then the problem came back. the code that popped was a 70 and that's not a listed code. any great ideas to fix the tranny? thanks

Take it to the dealership to find out what the problem is, go from there. You may or may not want them to do the work, depends what's up
