I believe the 94-97 F-series accords have a rev limiter between 6 and 7K rpms. If you really want to know go put your car in neutral and try to rev it to 7K. If you don't make it, there's a rev limiter.

you should have a rev limiter unless someone disabled it. Most cars have them. The cars listed in your signiture should definately have rev limiter. In neutral, the rev limiter should be less than the redline, so you could try to see if you can rev to the redline in neutral. If you reach there, then something is probably wrong with your rev limiter.

BTW, why don't you put your real age on your profile kid?...and why do you have other peoples, presumable your family members, rides in your sig? No one's going to hate on you for being honest.
Edit: changed his age to 18, sig question answered

i would not recomend reving your engline untill redline in neatural. if you really must, i would shift it down the first and gun it, see what happens....(this may still be bad)

i never rev my car in neutral. Theres nothing for the engine to strain against. Atleast while its in gear its not free revving. your accords not going to get hurt. i did it once by accident, i was driving in snow and i just floored it and hit ice. the tach just bounced at 6500. thats why theres a revv limiter

I would've thought that free revving would be less likely to do damage. Since if you have it in gear, you run the risk of breaking the tranny also if you're going to transfer 7000 rpms through the main shaft. People rev up manuals in neutral all the time to do burnouts, I'd be willing to bet it's worse for the engine to be revved in gear.

nahh i feel like it'd be worse for it out of gear. it can rev up too fast and easily. and its baddd for the clutch to rev and drop IMO. I dunno, everyone has there own ways of driving.

Btw OT, but Bismoto is making me a custom cam haha.

I remember this one time. I decided to get out some of the water out of the exhaust pipe. While I was in N I revved it up all the way before redline. And sometime above redline. all the way to 7000... Is the some way I could check if the rev limiter is still installed? Or is it part of the ECU?

the rev limiter is part of the ecu, and yes all cars that are being manufactured today have rev limiters on them. the stock accord with go to ~6750 and bounce. the only way you could get the rev limiter off is to modify the ECU or replace it with a programable one.
