Default new dyno... disapointed... timing map included... edit: FOUND PROBLEM

ok guys i went back to slowmotion today in columbus, oh and put some time on the dyno hoping for 375+... only to be disapointed again, plagued with blowing out spark that i couldnt get under control, and a wastegate that wouldnt hold boost, i settled for what i could get, so tell me what you think...

and here is my timing map if anyone is interested

my main concern is the boost dropping, i would have been well into the 300's if it werent for that, anyone have any clue as to why its doing it??? the wastegate is an ebay tial knockoff wiht an authetic tial big yellow (10psi) spring...

heres the setup for those of you that dont know...

-1992 hatch cx
-d16z6 stock bore and sleeves
-vitara pistons
-tt rods
-arp headstuds
-drag manifold
-turbonetics t3t04e 57 trim .63 hot side
-precision 680cc injectors
-msd 3 bar map
-2.5" downpipe (with open cutout)
-fmic
-tial 50mm bov
-comp cam 59300 (very disapointed in that puppy)
-tuned on crome free

so does ANYONE have any insight as to why im making the torque i shuold be but not the hp??? im about to go nuts and give up at this point!!!

EDIT: figure out what may have been causing my hp to just flatline and not build anymore!!! i pulled my distributer cap off and the bolt that holds the rotor on was gone, and the rotor was just flopping around, and had bent a few fingers on the cap itself!!! on the dyno my afr's were solid 11's, just went out and did a pull at the same boost level and i was in the 12.5-12.8 region right before i let out !!! so i guess i picked up some more power!

What are you using for a boost controller ?
Maybe try another wastegate ?
Resolve your boost issues, then go from there

turbosmart mbc is what im using...

im thinking at this point i either have a phantom boost leak, or my bov is leaking a little...

hey man, i just put my car on the dyno for the second time, and made the same power as i did the first time, except this time i made it at 2psi less, the diaphram in the wastegate had a whole in it, and it was loosing boost, i had a cheap ebay tial knock off aswell, i bought a turbo smart one, and like i said i made the same power at lower psi.

Get a real tial wastegate and a larger spring.

X2.

its an ebay wastegate and youre having trouble holding boost. its apparent what the problem is.

Just check for boost leaks. You did adjust the valves after the cam install right?

Take it for what it is. You had issues and did as much as you could with them. Fix your issues and go back

ive tuned several cars with those ebay tial knock offs. all of them have had the same problem with boost dropping off. up ur setup to a 3" DP. your TQ curve is falling pretty drastically. try ramping the timing in the maps from 5500rpms to redline. timing seems to be a little on the low side. all this was on pump gas correct?

Your Horsepower isn't there because you aren't revving high, you're not revving high becasue the torque isn't there, your torque isn't there because your boost isn't there, your boost isn't there because you have a problem......fix the problem and you go right back up that chain.

ps: timing is low IMO as well, but fix the boost first

thanks guys, this is the first time ive posted on h-t and got decent info...

im trying to find a tial around here today and see if that helps...

i am also using a big tial yellow spring (10 psi) and trying to go to 25psi with it, could that be a source of the problem???

with my wastegate that was losing boost , my numbers were 210whp, 177wt, @11psi, once i changed the wastegate i did 215whp, 210wt, @9psi, the new wastegate made a big difference,

well, found a big problem, went and pulled my dizzy cap off, and the philips screw that holds the rotor on was missing, and the fingers in the cap were all bent up!!!

Dude you drove from Ashland to Columbus?

Why not use Raceline's Dyno in Cincinnati?
