here's my old log manifold:


it cracked on the top. I just want something that'll last over the summer for a few shows and be daily driven. I know about SSautochrome's rep but i can't find any info on this manifold. here it is it says its 2.9mm thick.

 

im sure that will last over 1 summer, that is what you meant right?

 

from what i've heard, the fitament of those manifolds sucks. your wastegate will have space issues and its pretty damn hard to fit a good size downpipe with it. but on the other hand, its a nice looking manifold and its dirty cheap. i would stay away from it personally, and that is coming from an SSauto kit owner here.

 

if its only temporary, then i would say go for it, and if it isnt cracked come end of summer, keep it on until it does crack, just make sure u have money tucked away for when it DOES.

Wether thats 1 summer or 2 years, just make sure ur ready for it.

 

Also, when u buy a real one, u wont have to re-tune, as long as its the same style and diameter piping.

 

Why dont you just have the one thats on there welded back up?

 

yeah it just needs to last me until i can get do an ls/vtec boost build. it'll be after summer so that's why i need it to last til i get the funds I'm worried about fitment, quality and the usual cracking. i know " i get what i paid for" thing but i know people also had good expierences with these. the wg placement doesn't worry me too much cause my log is at the same spot pretty much. the thing that atracts me to the ssauto manifold is the design..and i guess the price too

i could reweld mine, i have the resources..but that manifold caught my eye
