Pulled axle from tranny.... ( I think ) Please Help !!!!
Alright... I was installing the skunk2 camber kit ( front & rear ). I let my lil brother try and take off the ball joint from the driver side and when i looked @ my caliper i noticed it was hanging to the side. Now im NOT able to lift it back up for some reason, i think the axle got pulled from the tranny or something ( I'M NOT SURE ).
I've tried spinning the rotor & axle to find the alignment to the tranny with no luck. N-e-wayz now the car is stuck in my house and i can't put the wheel to get a flat bed to pick it up because it looks like if i drop it everything down there is gonna break. So i have no other option but to fix @ my house.
Does anybody have an idea on how to fix this ?? Any suggestions, comments, ANYTHING PLEASE !!! I can post some pics if needed to get a better understanding of what im talking about.
Thanks for any help !!!

without pics i cant helo worth ****, but, if the axel is still in the trans, then its in there, we have cv or constant velocity axels, meaning they dont lock in or anything they just use the velocity of the car to move the axel and somewhat lock it
R U SURE YOU DIDNT JUST UNDO THE BALL JOINT AND FREAKED OUT?

if the axle got pulled then push it back in. otherwise it shouldn't just pop out of place unless you physically tug on the axle to remove it or you may have a loose axle nut. seems fine to me. jack up the front suspension to insert the balljoint.
from looking at it you need to pull the thing apart and put it back together. What you did was popped the ball joint with everything still screwed in.Take it all apart take the suspension off,put the camber kit and ball join back on then put the suspension back together. If it were pulled out from the tranny the whole axle would be on the ground other than the part that goes into the rotor. You should have done this to begin with not just pop the upper ball joint on the control arm off like you did.
well he shouldn't have to remove his whole front suspension just to replace the upper control arms. just pop the ball joint, remove the 2 bolts holding the control arms, and reverse to install. simple

LOL... I tried forcing back into place with no luck. It doesn't wanna move from that location. I also put another jack under the lower control arm and the lil **** doesn't wanna move back up the way it's supposed to be.
weird. then i guess you need to redo that whole side. but first take a look to see if the axle is in the tranny or is it popped out. that will answer your question if its out or not.
dude you have the upper a arm off, replace what you want, and put it all back together
i dont see a prob unless the steering arm is in the wy, then undo the castle nut and get pickle forking then it should be easier to just jack up the suspension
if you dont have anoter jack just use the spare tire one, all it needs to do is hold the suspention up whle you bolt your **** back together

K, i tried force lifting it again and yet i get nothing. I tried setting the upper control arm but im not even able to get it close enough to tie it all up again it stays tilted to the side. It feels as if something is blocking me from moving it back the way it belongs but i have no idea what it is.

Your axle is internally seperated. It happened to me when i did my 5 lug. If its a D-series..it will be easy. B-series.....WORST THING YOU'LL EVER DO IN YOUR LIFE!! good luck

WRONG! sorry lol. But all you have to do is kinda mess with the axle (D-series), kinda pull it and push it and rotate it all at the same time and it will pop back into its races. Not an exact science. If its a B-Series, then you're in for some slippery, greasy, nasty *** ****. You have to take the axle out, take off the boot, put all the bearings back in their races with the squares all lining up (as hard as lining up the planets) while making your way thru grease and nastyness in general. like i said above...WORST THING YOU'LL EVER DO IN YOUR LIFE. just take it somewhere if its a B-series axle.

Keep messing around with it and see if you can pop it back into place. Might take a few tries. Happened on my cousins RSX and friends Si.
That's exactly what i was thinking.... So i should just keep playing with it till it comes back around ?? I kinda gave up and decided to ask for help after trying for about 5+ hours with no luck. Hopefully tomorrow when i get off work i can fix this.
WoW.... I think im better off buying a new axle and starting clean before i get pissed and destroy everything in there.... Thanks ALL FOR THE HELP !!!!!

looks like the bearings in your cv joints (underneath the boots) popped out of the channels they sit in, u can try taking the axel out and pushing it back in, only thing is they only go in one way, so you kinda have to feel around and get them lined up... If this doesn't work, you either take the boot off, and put the bearings back in, or jus get a new axle...
yea wat i just did was get under the car while raining and it's about 1:30 am and pulled the boot back and low and behold the bearings was popped out i did noticed that there was certain grooves but i rather buy a new one then try and fix .
JUST F.Y.I.- Thats exactly what happened. So if this happens to any other non mechanic **** thats one thing they can check for. Thanks

lol.. calm down skippy. don't let the car pwn you. The axle inside that rubber boot slides into a hub.. that metal round thing at the end. BUT.. it is a very close fit.. so you have to take the axle(round black thing) and jimmy it pushing into the hub(metal thing at the end)
just rotate it, jiggle it, but keep pushing it in and sooner or later that ****** will slide back..
