is it possible to instal my short shifter from the top and not the bottom??? I heard you have to remove the midsection from the exhaust and do it that way. true?
No not possible to install from the bottom
In order to get at the linkage to install it your have to unbolt or cut the heat shield. however you don't have to unbolt the exaust just plug the hangers off and it will hang down enough to do what you need to do

yeah, the headshield is a pain, but its gotta come out one way or the other, and the exhaust doesnt have to be removed, just makes the job ALOT easier.
