i just put new (used) tires on my car, stock 13"..and adjusted the omni camber kit, its at the middle setting

now im hearing this weird noise from the suspension, its especially louder when you come to a stop..it sounds like a chugging noise (like an old train haha)

anyone know what this is?

 

axle
wheel bearing
brake dust shield rubbing
calipers rubbing inside of rim

Does it come from both side, one side?
Can you hear it while driving, coasting or just stopping?
Warped rotors? Brake pads?

Just trying to throw out some ideas for you.

rotors and brake pads are fairly new

definitely not the caliper or dust shield

you can hear it slightly while coasting at 50 km/h .its louder when you come to a stop. It's a hard noise to describe!

 

could this be a wheel bearing going? it has gotten louder, its kind of like that whoo-whoo sound a helicopter blade would make

 

if i'm imagining the sound your talkin about correctly.. i would also say wheel bearing

 

i jacked up the car today and jiggled the wheel around to check for a bad bearing, everything seems ok. So i took the wheel off and ive found the problem

somehow the bolt that holds the caliper on (bottom one) on the drivers side has come out! its gone, i've never seen that happen..and i remember torquing the bolts to spec when i did the brake job (well over a year ago)...so the caliper is rubbing the inside rim making that grinding, chugging noise

making a trip to honda today to get a new bolt

i would say your wrong! wheel bearings won't make a clunking noise when or are bad.

glad to see you found the problem. some time when dealing with suspension/brake parts you need to double/triple check them. neglegence can be fatal.

 

Can you see any unusual wear marks around? That could give you a clue.

you have to learn from experience i guess, i would call this a serious danger but luckily it didnt have any bad effects (except a little material gone off my caliper haha)

on the lower portion of the caliper, as you apply the brake it pushes the caliper outward toward the wheel

and on the inside of the rim, you can see where it was rubbing

 

i have the same problem

never said it was makin a clunking noise, so i dont know where you pulled that one from?. .

but when my wheel bearing went bad, it made a swooshing noise kinda like what he was talkin about or at least how i imagined the sound to be that he was tryin to explain. . but once again, there was never mention of a "CLUNK" noise. .
