dei or clifford, which are actally the same company now. anythign they make is a good alarm. just get one that has the feautres and security you want, and of course in your budget. i went with the dei rattler 300, almost the same as the viper 300. it has keyless entry, shock sensor, and you can upgrade and get the dual stage motion sensor for liek $30-40. thats what i did. works well for me.

hey i dont wanna deter anyone from buying this rattler, but i have one too. and can u guys tell me how to make this thing a whole lot more sensitive. ive adjusted the **** on the unit but still its the same. when i got it installed they placed in on the steering colum, i think. any way, would this dual stage upgrade make it more sensitive? would it be something i can simply do my self or do u recomemd going to the place i got my alarm installed.

It's all about the install. I had mine installed by a compustar certified tech . Thats the only alarm he sells. My alarm is almost too sensitive planes, thunder, and some exhausts make it chirp. Dual stage is only the sensors sensitivity. 1) there is warning chirp 2)you set the alarm off, hence dual. Make them do it, and have them adjust it and dont leave until its to your likeing. btw what did they put on the steering colum?
