JDM shit crx front lip install ???? HELP PLEASE
i have the j urathene front lip for my crx and im trying to install it. All they give you is about 10 inches of double stick tape on either side of the lip. is that all you need to support this ? theres no where to even bolt it because i hangs down off the front end of the car. are you maybe supposed to keep the stock si lip on ? any elp would be appreciated thanks
The tape is crap....throw it out.
You will need to fab some sort of mounts for it. I used four c-clips for my install, the same clips that a oem lip uses. I drilled holes at the ends of the lip and in the wheelwell then slid clips over wheelwell hole and bolted it there. The other two clips were used with some metal straping to make brakets for the center. After I had it secure I used black poly sealer to seal it to the bumper and make it look like a smooth fit (wipe excess sealer with your finger..).
hope that helps.

I too have a J's lip on my 90 hf...usdm front...
Let it dry out bend free in a warm place or in sun for a couple of hours...then put it on the car. Adjust from side to side how you want it to sit. Drill into the lip in the wheel wel through the bumper then use a simple screw. Make sure bit is smaller then screw. Do 1 on each side. Then get 2 aluminum brackets. I used 2 and spaced them on in the front. Then from underneath used a flat head type of bolt so you could barely see it fron below under the lip so it would recess in. I bent up to aluminum brackets turned out like a Z bracket drilled to holes on each end of the bracket used the factory cross member under plastic nut previsions and bolted it up...then take it the lip off for final install and take off the back piece of the double side tape. Then put it back on and press on the taped areas and hold down for 30 seconds or so to adhere the tape of the lip to the contour of the bumper...wa la....
