Default Can I remove my valves without damaging my new valve seals?

So I took my LS head to a machine shop to have them resurface it and install new valve seals. I assumed they would clean it well, but they did the bare minimum. There's still a ton of carbon on my valves, and in the ports.

So, can I remove my valves without damaging my new OE seals so I can clean the backsides and ports?

You can remove your valves without messing up the seals.

However if you are going to be cleaning your head with new seals then be very careful what chemicals you clean with.

Hmm... okay. I'll make sure I don't get any seafoam on the valve seals. I'll plug up the valve guide holes with something and just work carefully.

I'm just unclear on this part... After removing the valvesprings, how would I go about actually removing the valves without damaging the seals? Is this going to be an easy task, or am I going to have to be really careful?

Show us your h-t car nerd status, and help a brotha out, instead of fapping to rare arm rests and gt35rs.

If you want you can put a little oil to help slide through otherwise you just pull the valves out after the springs and retainers are removed.
They come out from the bottom side so I hope your head is removed.
