Default Hi Everyone, nice to meet you all.

Hi everyone , I've been surfing this site for about three weeks and I decided to register and join you guys today. There are just many people here I see that have lots of knowledge about cars and i can't hold myself from joining. I have a 06 SI for about half a year now and have been thinking about modifying the exterior. I am considered a car newbie, and i know i sounds like one, so maybe through you guys i can learn a lot about this car.
Body Kit- been thinking seriously on buying the Tourenn body kit, not the lip kit, but I don't think i can keep my grill on with the nice Honda symbol on it after install.Been searching for all the body kits possible for my 06 Si and basically almost all of them can be found on ebay. Maybe someone else here knows about some rare kits or upcoming ones. I like the HFP body kit but just a bit too normal to me, there is one SI in my apartment complex with HFP kit on and i been looking at it everyday.
Hood- Currently about to buy the VIS N1 carbon fiber hood for my SI, almost clicked the button yesterday, but i think is better to ask you guys opinion on it before i buy. Btw,If I do get the hood, do i need to put the hood lock on?
Light- I bought the projector headlight and tail light and im guessing it doesn't comes with light bulbs, and i have totally no idea on what to choose. All i know is i want it as blue as it can get but still within the legal level, so i need some help deciding which is better to get.
Thank you!! I will try to post up pics after i done all the mods.

PS: Forgot to put the color: Nighthawk Black Pearl, thanks for reminding.
since my car got hit by someone close to the backside and my oem bumper need to be replaced, so i think maybe i will just put a body kit on. My hood's paint got messed up and after estimate, it ends up almost the same price as a carbon fiber hood as to repaint.

If youre going to mod a brand new cars exterior. Just be sure to do it right.

Typically you will see me saying things like "youd better have the same amount of power under the hood as you do plastic around it" as far as body kits and such go.

Honestly, its your car, so its your choice, but IMO

body kits = bad
CF hoods = depends on the style of it, and the color of your car
Projector headlight = http://www.customlightz.com the only way to go.

no body kits.....HFP FTW.
anything other than that is too tacky imo.
if your gonna stick around here...you can't go rice. you'll get flamed...if you want rice go to 8thcivic.com they've got lots of them over there.
as for the hood..if your car is not NHBP...go ahead...but no scoops. because your engine doesnt need it. and for headlights...customlightz....or pm caveman around here. but anything else to your car...its your car...more power to you.

Hello guys, sorry i forgot to put the color of my car and why i want to put body kit and change the hood. I've edited my original post, think it is easier to read when it's all together. It seems like I shouldn't modify my car yet and maybe should start with the performance part. Thanks for replying guys <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by originalg00kster &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">no body kits.....HFP FTW.

imo carbon fiber doesnt look good on NHBP...just because its a blakc on black combo kinda...but it does help...unless you got alot of carbon it wouldnt help much. and i would just get a regular oem bumper instead of a cheap body kit....if you get hit with either of those 2 on...i think the oem will do alot better than that cheap body kit stuff.

So you're saying the NHBP with a carbon hood "OEM Style" would look butt? HFP Kit as well.

Special thanks to Demonis, Rahxephon, originalg00kster, honda06si, misterghost
and 06BlackSi #45 for the great help. I've been seriously thinking over and over with the suggestion you guys made. Finally i decide to go for everything OEM except the head, tail light I already bought. Thank you guys so much for helping me out.

Actually COMplex has a CF hood on his NHBP, and it looks pretty good

Although, I'm not one for CF anything on my RR.

Thanks!

It's a subtle but somewhat badass look to have CF on black. Not a lot of contrast, but still noticeable

Oh yes, and Customlightz rocks my socks!
