Default how hard is it to install HFP lip kit?

well unless i get an incredible deal from the dealer i will be ordering the HFP lip kit elsewhere and installing it myself.

who's done it? any tips or recommendations? unless its super easy i wouldnt mind paying 100-200 to have dealer or someone install it. just to give you an idea of $ vs. a headache or time for me

i installed the OEM body kit on my 01 gs-r and hopefully the SI is the same

the instructions provided from honda for the install are pretty extensive

its not that hard of an install but like everything...has some things to watch out for

ive done several for the coupe and the sedan, i think the sedan is a tad easier. it tells you to cut the rear bumper but dont! if you ever take the kit off you now have to get a new bumper. it will fit over it...trust me! as for the side brackets, do not put them on the car first like it tells you to, slide em into the sideskirts and peel off tape backing and put them on car from there.... WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY easier!!! When you do it, make sure its warm out and you clean the surface your will be sticking kit to VERY WELL or it will not hold all the way around. Thats all i can think of, if you got any questions, lemme know.

From your experience, it sounds like it is your duty to write up a DIY thread on this! hehe, good input!

I read it's easier with two people... maybe take that into consideration.

The front and rear lips are pretty straight forward. As mentioned make sure that the surfaces where adhesive will be applied are clean(use rubbing alch.) and doing it in warm weather is a must... or use a hairdryer if its cold out.

the sideskirts take a little more work as far as lining up the brackets and everything(easiest with two people), but none of it is really that difficult.

The best DIY write-up is the honda instructions IMO
