Default too much oil make a car not start???

Ok, so I just bought a used car from some douch bag kid. The motor dosn't run, but it has compression.

Check spark - has spark!
Checked fuel - has fuel!

So I was kinda stumped. I havn't check the timing yet. Since it has compression I'm guessing the cam timing is on, or at least close enough to run. The timing belt is also in place.

Ignition timing, need to check it...

BUT!!!! I checked the oil level, and it's about 6 or 7" above the full mark on the dip stick!!!! I check it 5 times because I didn't believe myself. then I had someone else check it!

The plugs were black with what looked to be sludge. changed them and still no start. But the oil is clean like it was changed yesterday. And the kid said he worked on it, and it never ran again...?

Could it be pushing oil past the rings, into the cylinder making it not catch???

Sounds crazy, But is it even possible?

Too much oil usually causes high pressure inside the block/head and the first thing to give is usually a seal. Crank seal, rear main seal, on f/h's balance shaft seals, cam seals old gaskets i.e. oil pan whatever.

Never heard of one not starting but anything's possible. Check the plug wires and make sure they are in the right spots. That will stop alot.

6 to 7 inches? I'd say that could be a problem. Did you drain and refill to the correct level with any positive results?

When I worked at honda there was this one car that a lady poured oil into the engine until oil was at the filler cap. LOL
We drained it and refilled to right level. She got lucky as the engine survived. Talk about well lubricated.

You got spark, you got fuel, it won't even kick a little? Nothing??? Too much oil could also hydro-lock the engine, but would still start and blow seals from here
to china. Ask the douche bag kid what "exactly" happened when the car quit
working, and when did it get to be so thirsty.

ya, I have spark, fuel, and nothing! I did figure out the the extra oil was in fact FUEL! I guess the injectors were stuck open, flooding the intake, and pouring down the PCV into the crankcase. Crazy!

Yeah, like ouch!!! Slap him like you own him, pawn his douche bag ***, lmao, sorry, my fingers got a 'lil crazy there for a minute. Make double sure that you change ur oil, run ur car for half a day, drain and change ur oil again. Just use some cheap oil & filter the 1st time, and then swap it out for some good stuff.

yeah so he basically messed the car up and decieded to crank it over a bunch of times to see if it woud start, but blow by caused the oil to get contaiminated. I would change that oil asap as the fuel contaminates the fuel and breaks it down.

ya, the oil is out. I didn't even realize they still sold oil for 99cents a quart at some stores! hehehe.

If he didn't live in CT, and I'm in MI, I'd have a friend Tee bag him, take pictures and send them to his mother... Douch!
