So I guess since those yankees started a thread, we southern boys better get on the ball.

I figure the west coast boys can meet in Hoelando at the shop. From there we'll head to say Daytona and meet the guys coming up from SFL. I think that's it for the FL guys, then we'll cruise on up to P1. If anyone is along the way in GA that I've missed, make mention. We'll find a stopping point to meet up with you on our way. Hang at P1 for the afternoon and then head towards Charlotte, NC. Hang there for the night and meet up with the SC/NC guys. Next day head from Charlotte to VIR. Now I'm hoping we can stay near or at VIR on Sunday. That would be great.

Suggestions? Thoughts? Meeting locations? Itinerary changes?

 

I'm all for heading out from P1.

How far are you from P1?

 

I'm about an hour south of P1. You'll be coming up I-77 to Charlotte, I'm off of I-85.

I'm not sure of exact route yet, however GPS will be in full use to take advantage of backroads and such.

We'll figure all that out soon.

As for P1, that's news to me.

 

If the R is running, i'll be flying into Ft. Lauderdale or Tampa (then drive to FLL w/ Dave). Then up to P1 to get the Arrrrrr tuned then off to VIR.

If the R decides to be a bitch then I'll be driving the M from Texass to VIR or P1....

 

Hey Dave, you have a trailer right? If the R can't get a tune down in South FL in time, want to tow the ***** to P1 and I'll drive the race car

If you want, you could trailer the R on our trailer, while one of the street cars is driven, then swap spots after tuning. Just another option.

We still have some things to fix on his car before getting it tuned.. if we get that done soon, it'll be ready to get a base tune in south florida, if not.. well then it won't not an issue of finding a tuner so much as getting the car ready for one.

 

Please excuse me...a couple of days ago, I drove by P1's former buildingbut it's like like a tax/or insurance business in place of it now. Have they relocated as well?

No yet... I still have a day or two worth of work on it and I don't know the next time when i'll be down there. I'll call him once the car is running stable enough to run around rich, keeping it under 4k (I have a wide band air fuel guage from aem so I can getting it pretty close my self).

 

I might also be coming from the south... I'm just not sure of all my plans. It's still pretty far away. I might be and would like to tow my car, but might have to drive it. If all my plans come together I'd like to get a tune from P1Auto also.

You sure you went by the correct building? I picked my car up last Sunday, and it didn't look like Jack was packing things up. Talked to him a couple of times during the week and you could hear car noises in the background

I'm going to do some mapquesting when I get in from my florida trip. I wouldn't mind driving to P1 and then heading to Expo from there.
