Ok, this might sound weird to everyone but my passenger side door doesnt close correctly. The door "closes" but it looks open from the outside, There is about an inch and a half between the door and the car when the door is in the "closed" position. Sometimes when you slam the door HARD it will close just fine, but will pop back out in a few minutes..What could be wrong???? Could it possibly be the door hinge??? If so how do you repair that????

Open the door, at the bottom there is a black rubber ****, try screwing it in tighter. if that does not help much unscrew the door strike in the door jamb and slide it in a little.
hi Arno, yeah that was me...my name is Jeff. I saw a CW teg and I was like "maybe it's an R" and it was...I figured its a lot safer(and nicer too) to park next to a fellow R. I love CW R's, nice car man, mine is all dirty from the sprinkles the other day and with midterms this week I have been so lazy to wash the old R. We should meet up some time along with James
and Yellow Blur hope to see you around and even meet you.

I met James through honda-tech( I i.med him), but I never actually met him in person, though I see him driving around in his black LS
with no emblems. There's also a guy with a PY R around school, I never met him either. how long you been going to Cal Poly? this is the first year I've seen your car, it's my second year there. I remember last year I use to always see this girl who drove a PY R, I don't see her anymore though.
Your car is pretty low what suspension are you running and what percentage is your tint? asking cause I might want to tint my car.

Sup guys. We should meet up sometime. I've seen that PY ITR before too and actually left a note. He didn't respond or anything though. I've also seen a girl driving a PY ITR also!

Im running KG/MM springs on the car, with stock shocks. As for the tint, i have no clue what % it is, because i bouth it like that, I'll look thru my paperwork and see if i have any info on it and let you know.

It sounds like you have a problem with the locking mechanism. Could it be possible that the hook used to hold the door close was pushed in while the door was open. It happen to me a while back on my other Honda.
Open the door and while holding the handle up (as if you would open the door) try bringing the hook out (turn it so the hook goes down) with a screwdriver.
I don't know if the mechanism on my old Civic is the same as the ITR but that is how I solve the problem.
Take a look at the driver side door to see how it is suppose to be and then take a look at the passenger door, this might give you a better idead of what is wrong.

Are you sure you are adjusting the door catch? The chrome colored u-shaped thingy in the door jam? Are you retightening it once it is adjusted? Are you readjusting the rubber pieces so that they touch when the door closes?
