why is it so complicated with everything when you relocate it to the back "distribution box", is it possible just to extend the two battery cables all the way to the back...just by splicing other wires to make it longer? just wondering

no problem...on all the diagrams and DIY's ive read people always add like a distribution box and ground out the wire, but what i was thinking was why can you not just extend the normal cables that are on your battery to the back and attach it just like it is now? but in the box with a sealed battery of course

yah i just want to run like 20 ft. to the back on the positive and ground it or just run both wires back...hahaha is this distributor box a scam
The reason is because in the event of an accident, the wires could be cut and your battery would become a welder. That is sort of bad and could cause your car to catch fire. All you need to do is extend the + wire to the location of your choice and place a fuse on that wire just next to the battery or as close to is as you can. The - cable can be short, you don't need to send it back all the way to the engine bay. Just pick a good spot for the cable to ground to bare metal.
Look on your fuse box under the hood and see the AMP rating on the battery fuse. you want that same AMP rated fuse out back where the battery is.

me and all my buddies havent used one so you should be alright. and i think i only ended up using like 17ft of wire and still had to cut it because it was too long.
really long ground cables make ground loop noise? like a big long antenna or something (From my experience). Just hook the negative to the engine on to the body where it already is from the factory. And then also connect the negative battery cable to the body in the back of the car. Don't run it from the engine all the way to the back of the car.
Lots of kits come with a dist box or fuse in case the positive cable gets shorted to the body of the car on the way up there, from a wreck or rubbing on something sharp.. This will stop it from causing a fire if that happens
