rim and tire size for 93 eg hatchback
I was wondering what size rim and tire would i need to dump my car really close to the ground. I have an example in this picture below, but i dont know what size the rims are. Would you be abble to use 15's? I want the least amount of tire tucking as possible. Please help.
If you want to be as low as that guy, you will run something like 195/40r15. Note, That guy's undercarriage is about two inches off of the ground. He can't turn his steering wheel more than 360 degrees, no way hes getting over and speedbumps.
Also with that mad crazy camber he eats up tires pretty damn quick.
I have 16's and I can't turn more than a full turn, and my front tires rub bad on my fenders and in the rear the tires rub on the very top of my inner fender.
Bottom line, its not practical as your daily imo. but if its not (like mine) go ahead

this is with 16's. I have a Wings West front lip that sits about 3 inches off of the ground. In the last week two people told me my car was too low to drive. Really, I drove this around for awhile as my daily and it wasnt too bad. Not being able to turn sucks the most about it
Here is 16" rims with 205/40/16. The tires don't really tuck and the car doesn't bottom
out on anything. It does barely scrape the exhaust on some speed bumps. I can turn
the wheel from lock-to-lock without any rubbing...

I have a similar set up...sits nicely on 16 with no problem, still low enough. you don't want really low it is just a bad idea if you drive the car at all.
You can put any set of rims on a civic as long as the bolt pattern is 4X100.
You just need to look into your suspension. Prolly gonna cost more than the rims and tires to upgrade to a decent set of shocks and struts.

A zero finger gap with no tire tucking is as low as I would go. If you like the chassis
being physically low to the ground, combine that with a shorter tire (ie: 205/40/16 or
195/50/15). If you want the lowered look without the chassis being super low to the
ground, use a taller tie (ie: 205/45/16 or 205/50/15).

Yeah they are close, but they don't have that multi-stepped lip that really sets them off. Plus they only come in 15X8.

i had 195/50/15 and they rubbed on the rear fender inner wall on stock suspension then i got 205/40/17 and theres no rub and the outside diamiter of the tire is the same. The offset in the wheel is what u need to pay attention to. i forgot the technical term for it but u need a small offset, spacing whatever its called.
I've got 205 50 15's with no rubbing, but I don't know what my offset is.
I just pulled my wheel off and it doesn't say.
