is it worth trading my gsr for r?
hey guys, i was at this car dealer and there was a 98 cw type-r wit 61xxx miles. i went to check around the body to see if it has been an accident before, and from behind, it look as though it has. i check around the exterior, it looks like it has been painted over wit another coat, and championship white? it doesn't look like it. should i check it has a salvage title or anything? cuz my dream car is a R and hopin to find one to trade. thanks for any response
the r is way better than a gsr for NA road race. is the damaged apparent on the fron or rear. check the spare tire area fro any damage. another way is to test drive on level surface and see if alignment is okay.
Id go for it! I regret every day not waiting for the 4 month waiting list when I bought my GSR in 2000. Im trying to justify my GSR by going turbo
is it worth trading my gsr for r?
yes...
yes...
But consider insurance, theft issues in your area, etc.
If I don't live in the bay area CA, where Integra thefts in general are rampant especially R's, I would buy one in between heartbeats. Especially now that there are more sellers than buyers unlike 2 years ago.
yes it is.. i wish i had a type r.. especially a 97 one.. i love those for some reason. i'm thinking about taking out another loan just to get one and paying off the loan on my GSR plus another one for the R.. thats how much in love I am with it.

runt he VIN through carfax. if it's salvage find out what kind (if its frame damage or interior, etc.). if it's a cheap price then hey, what the hell. if they're asking $20,000 for a salvaged R with crappy repair work, think twice.
he wants to trade it straight wit my GSR. i got some little mods but he some old guy he doesn't kno anything abuot cars exceptin buyin them and sellin them. he doesn't even kno wat a type-r is. i think im gonna run through carfax to see wat it has been through. if it's clean, then it's mine! but one more question i did or did not mention. the ~timing belt~. when i turn the car on to see how it sound (my friend has a R and it sounds different from gsr), i hear a chirping noise from the timing belt. do u guys think i need to replace it? and on the driver door side, there isn't a sticker that specify car model, etc.
If you think that it could have been in an accident (as it showed on the car), then don't bother. Clean R's always show up soon or later. No sense in buying a car that's been in an accident.
p.s. even if you run carfax, if the owner didn't file a claim, then it will not show up on carfax. (eg. owner paid out of his pocket to avoid any record and insurance hike.)

I wish I had purchased an R. Two years ago, I didn't know of the R. Sounds like you can find a much cleaner R if you look around and take your time. Get a clean R.
