Engine ground important?
What is the purpose of this:
I ask because today i popped my hood and saw it disconnected, I dont know how long, because i got the car a month ago. Any info on what it is for, what could happen without it, and anything else would be great...

I originally was trying to see what was making a whisleing sound.. It starts at around 4k and goes to redline, it sounds just like a person whistling..any clues?
I know cold air intakes whistle. I see you have a box, but that might be what's causing the whistling. BTW, you live like 30 minutes from me: I live in the Ferndale/Montverde area. What does your car look like? Do you know the dude with the green CRX that works at 7-11? I have a red 92 hatch.
I wish that was my motor, its one from a magazine I think, it was just a example. I drive a almost stock del sol S, im saving for LS swap though.. I know him, hes pretty cool. It looked better without the wing though.. do you know chen? with the green turbo del sol?
That's a pretty important ground for the spark plugs attached to the head. You may want to attach it to one of the valve cover nuts that makes contact with the head. The way you have it attached right now, it's only grounding the valve cover.
A bad thing that could happen is that you heat up your ignitor and coil which leads to premature wear. It'll heat up because the coil will not be able to dump all of its charge at each spark.

I don't know him, probably cause I go to South Lake High. The only import cars around Clermont are "riced" out big time. Anyway, I forget the 7-11 guy's name, but he said that he can get a decent deal on coilovers and stuff from some place called "allversion"(?) or something like that. Do you know about that place? Do you know any import shops or junkyards that have imports? Clermont has a bunch of redneck 1980s trans-ams, mustangs, and ****-cars. Sorry about all the questions, I am just desperate to find **** for my car.

Yea All Versions in Orlando, near Mars Music. Dont listen to him though, he doesnt know ANYTHING about cars, he bought his with cut springs, crappy paint ,missing sunroof, garbage motor. Hes only had it like 2 months. I havnt bought anything from All version, but a friend of mine with a red 92 hatch got a 99 ex high compression motor put in w/ a ACT clutch for 1500.. its hella fast.. If you go through Leesburg towards bellview there is 1 decent junk yard American Auto Salvage, A friend of mine is buying a 2000 CRV motor for $2100.. whew that was long...
Remember, if it wasn't important, Honda wouldn't have put it there in the first place. One of my buddies had a rough running idle, fixed the ground and the voila!, worked fine.
