Default Skunk2 shift ****... is it too heavy?

I picked up one of these shift ***** just because I hate the stock GSR one. This is the first weighted shift **** i've ever used. But my concern was that it's pretty damn heavy... Would this not put strain on the transmission similar to leaving your hand resting on the shift ****? Owners manuals typically say that is a no no.

Your shifter is bolted to the floor and connected to flexible linkage, you'll be fine

no, what's really hard for the snycro is the fast banging, it's about the heavy know, short shifter or 4 bent shifter shaft.

i love my skunk2 ****, to be honest, it's okay for civic or teg(linkage) but once you have a direct shifter on transmission, you'll want a real heavy ****.

you will be fine. putting hand on shifter is different. when you put hand on shifter, it tend to push up or down, depends on the gear you are at it. heavy ***** will not push like that.

I ran the Skunk2 **** for about 1.5 weeks. The shifting was too smooth with ES bushings. It felt a little unnatural, so I swapped it out for a 2006 Si aluminum shift ****. Has some weight behind it, but not as much as the Skunk2. So far it's good. Smooth but with a little resistance.
