Hey.. so ive been riding on a wheel bearing for a while that needed to be replaced. when i went to get it changed today (i dont have a huge press to do it myself).. i was that the wheelbearing and hub needed to be replaced. what a bitch.. just curious though.. my friend has a 98 civic hx and ihave a 97 civic ex.. would the entire front knuckle be interchangable? from what i can tell the models are very simliar to eachother.

 

No. The HX has smaller hub and smaller rotor/caliper. The HX will be interchangeable with DX/LX/VX/HF/STD only.

The EX has the larger hub/caliper/rotor so it shares the same with the SI/DA/DC and a few more that I'm forgetting. I might have a hub from my parts DA that I can sell. Hit me up on aim.

 

You can't put an HX knuckle on an EX unless you swap both sides. Cuz the EX has 10.3" front brakes and the HX has 9.5".
