body lines
do you mean shaving the mouldings? If thats what you mean, then theres a few ways to do it. The most common way is to remove the oem mouldings, plug the clip holes, and fill the area with bondo/mastic. Most bodymen will tell you, that the proper way to do it, is to cut a piece of metal flush with the door, and weld it in, and grind the area smooth, and use as little body filler as possible.
Ultimatly, its up to you. If you plan on doing it, the first way is the easiest, and cheapest. However, the second way is the "proper" way. IMO, if I could afford it, I would pay a body shop to do it. But, I dont have any money, so I do my own bodywork
hope that helps

WTF is up with people doing these $50 paint jobs? If you dont have the money to do it right, dont do it at all. You will not get the samn results as a base/clear job. And when you do deside to get it painted the right way, you spend more money/time taking off all of the old paint. If you are going to take the time sanding your car and preping it right, spend an extra $150 and spray it the right way. If not prep it and drop it off at Maaco. They paint good, but dont prep the car for ****, thats why the jobs they do dont last.
I shaved the moldings on my CD5 and my GF's V6 Accord. Here are a couple of pics.
Easy to do.

Exactly, its your car. Personally I would take the time to do all the body work needed to shave the moldings off then put a cheap paintjob on it. Especially if it was just a beater. And you will need about $30-40 in materials to shave the moldings. You cant just bondo over them.
